The end-of-year rankings have been published, and it comes as no surprise that the participants of last week’s Junior Masters feature prominently in the upper echelons. In total, over 6,000 players from 96 countries earned ranking points at the 408 Tennis Europe Junior Tour events held in the 52 weeks since the conclusion of the 2018 Masters.

The semifinalist of Kungens Kanna, the Romanian Mihai Alexandru Coman, finished on a second place in the end-of-year ranking for 14 & Under Boys. Just behind him, the finalist from Stockholm, Yaroslav Demin (Russia), finished in third place (picture above).

On the girls’ side, Celine Naef from Switzerland finished in fourth place when the rankings for 14 & Under Girls were summarized. She made it to the semifinals in Drottningens Pris, where she lost to Anastasiia Gureva, Russia. Gureva closed out the year at #8.

Neither the winner of Kungens Kanna, Rashed Nawaf nor the winner of Drottningens Pris, Brenda Fruhvirtova, has played enough tournaments in Tennis Europe Junior Tour to make it to the top-10 list.
