98 players will participate this week to compete for the Kungens Kanna and Drottningens Pris. Some of the worlds best juniors are attending the tournament. After the qualifying finals today a total of 18 swedes have moved into the main draw. Overall some outstanding tennis at the Swedish Royal Tennis Club.

Swedes Carl Gustafsson and Edis Nokic got through to the main tournament by winning their qualifying matches today, as did Lancelot Carnello who played a solid match against Polish competitor Witold Konopko on court 1 this afternoon.

In the main draw awaits Europes number one Timofey Skatov from Russia and Maja Chwalinska from Poland who both won the European Team Championships this weekend.

On the boys side we will get the chance among others to see a future talent Ross Weibull from IS Gota, who has been outstanding in 2014 and national team players Tim Tordendahl and Victor Arsov.

Sweden’s Junior Girls Team, Caijsa Hennemann, Victoria Carlsten and Frida Furst, who were in the European Championships playoffs last week are hoping to do well this coming week and have all qualified for Drottningens Pris main draw. Keep an eye out for Mary Petrovich as best performing swede in last weeks Tennis Europe event in Lidingö.

It will be interesting to see how the Swedes all hold up against the tough international field on home soil says tournament director Joe Beaton.
