Dawid Taczala was the favorite going in to the match against Max Wiskandt. The Pole survived the pressure and won with 6-4, 6-4, which means that he is the champion of this years Kungens Kanna.

The boys final proved to be a much more even match than the girls final. The second seed, Dawid Taczala, took command of the match as he won the first set with 6-4 after losing many set points.

– In the first set I was quite nervous and I didn’t played my best tennis, says Dawid Taczala.

Even in the second set the Pole was the better player, playing a very aggressive style throughout the whole set. Taczala won the second set with the same digits as the first, which means that he is the champion of this years Kungens Kanna.

– It feels amazing to win. In the second set we both played good. There were many great points. I’m really happy to be the winner of this tournament, says Taczala who felt no pressure before the match.

– No, I did not. I was nervous because it was the final and we played on the center court.

Did you expect to win the match in two straight sets?

– No, I did not. Max is a good player and I thought it would be three sets before this match ended.

Next week Taczala is playing a tournament in Paris.
