In response to the coronavirus pandemic, Wimbledon Junior’s Championship is cancelled for the first time since its start in 1947.
When Anastasia Potapova from Russia won the Girls’ Singles Championship in Wimbledon 2016, she also became the world number one on the junior ranking. Two years before her career-high as a junior, Potapova made it to the final in Drottningens Pris and won the doubles the same year with her fellow countrywoman, Olesya Pervushina.
