The reigning Kungens Kanna champion Martin Landaluce is now the new champion of US Open junior championships.
16-year-old Martin won the boys’ singles title last Saturday, his first Slam triumph, as he outlasted Belgium’s Gilles Bailly, 7–6(3) 5–7 6–2.
The win meant Spaniards became the winners of both Junior Boys’ Singles and Men’s Singles in the US Open, after Spanish Carlos Alcaraz beat former Kungens Kanna participant Casper Ruud in the Men’s Final.
Martin Landaluce became the first Spaniard ever to win Kungens Kanna after beating Turkey’s Atakan Karahan in the final 2020.
