What an incredible Sunday at the Royal Tennis Hall during the second day of qualifying at Kungens Kanna & Drottningens Pris! The day kicked off with the final qualifying matches, deciding who would earn their place in the Main Draw.
After a series of exciting and high level matches, the spots were claimed, and all Main Draw players picked up their gift bags and took part in interviews to be preserved in the tournament archives. Who knows, perhaps the next big international tennis star is already on the courts today?
The traditional Opening Ceremony then took place on Centre Court, with all represented nations proudly introduced, highlighting the tournament’s truly international character. A moving performance of the Swedish national anthem by Felicia Ryberger added a special touch of ceremony and pride. This was followed by a lively serve competition. The winners received fantastic prizes, and the audience enjoyed both laughter and impressive performances.
Tomorrow promises more world class junior tennis, with 33 nations represented in the Main Draw. Several Swedish players, including talents from KLTK, are stepping onto the courts, and we encourage members to come support them from the stands.
One highlight to watch is Court 1, where top seed Anastasis Mosaikos from Cyprus faces Swedish talent Carl Bagger. Exciting matches continue throughout the day, offering inspiring tennis for all spectators.
The first matches start at 10:30 AM. We wish all players the best of luck and look forward to another thrilling day at the Royal Tennis Hall!
