This year’s finals at the Kungens Kanna and Drottningens Pris delivered exciting, high-quality tennis on Sunday.
In the boys’ final, British player Liam Sharkey faced Slovakia’s Martin Adamca. The opening set was close, keeping the crowd on the edge of their seats. Sharkey gradually took control, securing the first set. The second set remained tight, but Liam’s consistency and determination ultimately earned him victory and the Kungens Kanna title.
“I’m very proud of my performance throughout the tournament. In the final, I tried to stay steady despite the nerves,” said Liam Sharkey.
On the girls’ side, Italian Giulia Luchetti went up against Ukraine’s Mariia Kocherzhenko. The match was intense from the first rally, featuring long duels and powerful shots from both players. Giulia demonstrated remarkable fighting spirit, taking the first set 7–5 and clinching the victory in the second set after a tense tiebreak. After more than two hours of play, she converted the match point, becoming the first Italian player to win the Drottningens Pris.
“It feels amazing to have fought my way through the tournament and stand as the winner,” said Giulia Luchetti.
With these finals, the 2026 edition of Kungens Kanna & Drottningens Pris has concluded. We extend our sincere thanks to all sponsors, volunteers, and officials who made the tournament possible. We are already looking forward to next year’s tournament.
