The Swedish native and Drottningens Pris semifinalist of 2022, Tiana Tian Deng, represents Sweden in the Billie Jean King Cup Junior Finals.
Earlier this week, ITF revealed the team announcements of the players competing in the Billie Jean King Cup Junior Finals and the Davis Cup Junior Finals. The 16 best nations from all around the world will be competing for the title in the 16-and-under team competition in the city of Cordoba, Spain.
On the girls’ side, representing Sweden is the previous KKDP semifinalist Tiana Tian Deng. Deng left a big impression when playing in the tournament in 2022 and became the first Swede to reach the semifinals since 2012. She was also the first Swedish girl since 2017 to make it to the “Last Eight Club.”
Deng will be playing for Sweden in the final alongside her teammates Lea Nilsson and Nellie Tataba Wallberg, and coach Carl Ackered.
Another familiar name in the tournament is the Latvian representative, Adelina Lachinova. She also made it to the “Last Eight Club” in KKDP 2022, where she reached the quarterfinals.
